I can knit AND purl backwards, i.e., left to right. Can *you* do that?

I can, but I prefer knitting backwards. If I really need to purl backwards for a long period of time, I'll flip my knitting around and knit the stitches. But if it's just one or two stitches in a pattern, no prob.
My icon pic was mostly knit backwards and forwards.
I learned to purl backwards so I can do garter stitch without turning my needles. It's a cool trick! We are cool for knowing how to do it.
*is insanely envious*
... I very much want to learn. Might make the entrelac go a little faster.
Meanwhile, I'll just work on this sock.
tjstein learned to backwards knit for her entrelac work. You should chat her up. BTW, do you knit english or continental?
She's the one with the groovy felted entrelac bag, right? Met her at a Thursday night yarn shop thing. You, alas, weren't there. I hadn't attempted the entrelac then. I think the bag was what made me jump in.
English or Continental? Um. Whichever carries yarn in the left hand... (I've heard it both ways, oddly enough)
